Your questions, answered.
Which BENDA motorcycles are LAMS approved?
Napoleonbob 250, Chinchilla 350 CVT Neo, Chinchilla 500, Napoleonbob 500, Dark Flag 500 Commander and Chinchilla 250 CVT. The Chinchilla 250 CVT is coming soon; the rest are on sale now.
Can I ride a BENDA on my learner or provisional licence?
Yes — any BENDA on this page is approved under the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS), so it can be ridden on a learner or provisional (restricted) motorcycle licence. Your state sets the licence conditions, so check them with your transport authority.
What is the cheapest LAMS approved BENDA?
The Napoleonbob 250, at $9,990 ride-away. BENDA prices are one national ride-away figure, the same in every state (in NSW the CTP green slip is purchased separately).
Which LAMS BENDA has the lowest seat?
The Chinchilla 350 CVT Neo, with a 690 mm seat height — a good fit for shorter riders who want both feet down at the lights.
Is there a LAMS BENDA without a clutch?
Yes. The Chinchilla 350 CVT Neo uses a CVT automatic gearbox — twist and go, with no clutch or gear changes to learn.
Is the Dark Flag 950, Rock 707 or LFC 700 LAMS approved?
No. The Dark Flag 950, Rock 707 and LFC 700 are not on the LAMS list, so you need a full (unrestricted) motorcycle licence to ride them.
Where can I test ride a LAMS approved BENDA?
Book online at bendamoto.com.au/test-ride, or visit BENDA Moto Brisbane (Albion QLD), BENDA Moto Melbourne (Hawthorn VIC), Northside Motorcycles (Artarmon NSW), Highlands Garage (Mittagong NSW). BENDA Moto Australia also delivers Australia-wide.
